Thanksgiving table (2012)

Another lovely table this year! I used Granny Smith and pink lady apples, lemons and even brussel sprouts.

thanksgivings past (2007)

My love of veggies as decorations goes way back apparently. In 2007 I used granny smith apples as tea light holders ans added asparagus in my flower arrangements. These pictures are terrible so please forgive them.

I was so excited to find green tinted roses, they were so unique. I designed this whole table to coordinate my mother-in-law's favorite plates. They were cream and brown, I added green and gold accents.

To carve out the apples, I used a pencil and traced the tealight first, then used a sharp pearing knife to cut out and a spoon to scoop out a space. Super easy!

thanksgiving inspiration

I have been gathering pictures I love for decoration ideas this Thanksgiving. It has always been my favorite table decorating holiday. For many years I was in charge of just the table and an appetizer! I am cooking the whole dinner (which I adore) and the table again this year. I get very excited while planning. Below is my fabric which I will turn into a table runner and possibly napkins and some veggie inspired decor!

Tricks and treats

Over 1000 pieces of candy later we survived Halloween! We had tons of fun and both handmade costumes were a success! Charlie discovered how easy it was to get free candy and drug daddy all over the neighborhood.

My table was a bit lack luster but I was able to deal with it! The candy corn cupcakes made up for it!

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!
