fun drink recipe

Hubby and I love watching Drinking Made Easy, they have visit towns and tour bars, showing off crazy and signature drinks. This one was from Memphis, and is made with grape pop, so we said "Yes, Please!" Plus, we have always wanted to try flavored moonshine, for no good reason at all. We got a bit crazy and decided to do it. Now this is was not a cheap beverage - consider finding a generic raspberry liqueur if you can. Of course all spirits are an investment in future jello shots for us so we sprung for Chambord. We substituted strawberry moonshine for cherry. Hubby loved this drink, it was just ok for me, but it was super fun to try something new.

Nautical Birthday- red, white and blue theme

Charlie just turned 2, and since she is still to little to pick her party theme, this is probably the last time I could do what I wanted to, so here is her Nautical themed party.
Invitation in a bottle, tag close up.

Water Bottle Wraps
Party Favors- Anchor containers from Target Dollar Bins!

Handmade Cupcake wraps- realized at the last minute I only had green and white polka dots, so I printed some adorable digital paper and cut them out. From Jazzy Patterns on Etsy.

Strawberry Boats

Watermelon on a stick. Used simple star cookie cutter in assorted sizes
and sucker sticks. Used sugar to fill the vase.
Happy 2 year old!
She insisted on a fork! Never will dig right in.

Diva Party-pink, black and zebra theme

A few shots of a Diva party I helped out with a few months ago. We even made a hot pink "red" carpet on the front porch from 2 yards of fabric, stuck it down with zebra duct tape- it was adorable. This theme was so much fun.
Favor Boxes- filled with inflatable microphones, colored hair extensions, fingernail polish, tatoos and zebra cakes!

Dessert table Diva'd out!

Pink Wine glasses- completely impracticable but hard to pass up!

rock chalk jayhawk cupcakes

It would be nice if I were better at taking pictures because these look so much better than these photos do! Joey wanted to make KU cupcakes after watching Cupcake Wars on the Food Network, she absolutely loves that show and immediately started think of ideas. She is so creative (*proud mommy*).

We divided our batter into thirds and added food coloring so there would be crimson and blue suprise in the middle. She had fun adding all the drops (it took about 15-20 red and about 12 blue to get a dark enough color) and stirring. We then poured some white into each cup then piped the colors in through baggies with the end cut off. It worked really well.
Unfortunately on the way to the party I bumped the container and most of them tumbled sideways so I could not show the finished products.

festive drink table

a bit late but here is the drink table I made for new year's eve. i poured our pinterest other websites and found so much inspiration for NYE themed parties. this is my own color scheme due to left over christmas wrapping ribbon and paper and was so much fun to put together.

I purchased noise makers from the dollar store and removed the multicolor fringe and glued on my own in matching patterned and solid scrapbooking papers!

bee mine...

The picture is terrible, but joey's handmade valentines came out so adorable. The other side of the heart has hand painted and drawn designs by her. we made bees out of pipe cleaners and googly eyes. Super easy project "bee mine" from Family Fun magazine. Instead of tissue paper wings we used the bump chennile pipe cleaner cut in half then just add it in as you wind around the striped body part!
