gone too long

time has certaintly gotten away from me. life has been full and crazy lately and kept me away from my little biz and blog. i'm sure not too many people check in here, but soon i hope to change that.

things that kept me away include being very very pregnant with baby girl #2. she is still nameless, which is scary because she should be here anytime, a very beautiful and fun 4 1/2 year old adjusting to life as a big girl (preschool graduation and her first dance recital), and the big one a new house. moving was quite the adventure, and we have the best parents in the world (all 3 sets) because it would not have happened with out them!

we've been there for one month now, and it feels a little like home now. baby has a room of her own that is ready to go. not being able to nest was really challenging, but i feel much better now that she has somewhere to lay her head.

just when things seem to be settling down and feeling warm and safe i had to say good bye to one my bestest friends ever. I will miss your sweet face little minnie!

almost famous...

celebrating today with the best coffee around! we usually only get this on our trek up north to visit grandma in the great cheese state, but had to drive to shawnee mission parkway today where they happen to have a lovely little drive thru! so yummy.

celebrating because my copy of scrapbook inspirations made its way from overseas finally
and despite the blurry pic, YES! that is my name on page 116!

new invite

where does the time go? hard to believe its already almost april! i've been working on some invites including the ones above. plan on posting these sage and cream along with periwinkle and cream in the store for spring events. they are very pretty (pic is kind of dark!)
life has been busy busy busy! our house in on the market, already had an offer even, but had to turn it down. i am reminded how stressful buying the darn thing was, selling is not any easier!! creating invites/crafts is proving difficult when half my supplies are in my lovely SIL's basement. HATE having a spotless house. its nice don't get me wrong, but sooo not our style. hid dirty dishes in the oven this morning!
tomorrow we get another chance at finding out the sex of the new baby. I am 27 weeks now, and it is hard not knowing, I don't know how you ladies do it!

our love story: i hate clowns

valentines day always makes me a little gushy and romantic. i've always been a bit of a "fairy tale" girl. every year for this sweet holiday i bring out this ring and wear it. in high school a boy surprised me with it, and i have cherished it ever since.

i hate clowns with a fiery passion. i am terrified of them in fact, and have had many funny encounters with them over the years. so my high school boyfriend played a joke on me. all day at school he kept telling me he had a big surprise that i would get at the basketball game that night. he came into the gym carrying his backpack with a curly rainbow clown wig hanging out of it. i was mortified. i had visions of clown telegrams singing -then of course eating me. (logically because that is what clowns do)

he walked right up to me and pulled a little burgandy box out of that back pack.

*swoon* i still love that boy with all of my heart! and hate clowns.

awww! how cute are we? we were 16 or 17 in this picture.

thank you cards

the lovely jess should be receiving her thank you card order soon if she hasn't already. they turned out so classic and pretty that I thought I would show them. (they are shipped flat but are perforated for easy folding.)

and her thank you gift just in time for valentines!

our big girl

i'm kind of sad that our sweet little girl has offically moved out of her toddler bed and into a big girl bed. we've been cleaning and packing things up to try and put our house on the market. wow is that a big undertaking!

here is joey's new bed, it has a trundle on the bottom so she can finaly have a sleepover. she picked the bed spread herself. and i found the oh so girlie sparkly throw pillows at Target on clearance for $6. (thank goodness i was able to get out of buy the big hannah montana pillows, she doesn't even really watch that show!)
and congrats to mom and dad for getting it put together, with out arguing!
while taking the pictures joey said "this will be prettier" and jumped into the shot with her own little pose.
