Monster eye cupcakes

Perfect for Halloween! Halfway homemade because I just can never get made from scratch cupcakes to taste as good as a box of mix- I have never claimed to be a baker! Decorator- definitely!
Two tricks. 1. Smooth the Oreo frosting with a warm knife. 2. Use long toothpicks to stabilize the eyes- I learned this one the hard way!

Tricks and treats

Over 1000 pieces of candy later we survived Halloween! We had tons of fun and both handmade costumes were a success! Charlie discovered how easy it was to get free candy and drug daddy all over the neighborhood.

My table was a bit lack luster but I was able to deal with it! The candy corn cupcakes made up for it!

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

Ready for Halloween

Our house is ready to go tonight! I love Halloween, especially all the cute kiddos in costume. We get tons of trick or treaters in our neighborhood and it is such a fun night!

my kiddos at halloween

My $15 target monkey costume was transformed into a Flying Monkey from the Wizard of Oz by my wondefully crafty mom! It took like 50 pictures to find 3 cute ones of sweet Charlie. I like to call her Charlie Girl, so that people don't get confused!
Joey wanted to be a pretty vampire. She called it a vampire fairy. I made the vest and cape (which is a keeper! it is awesome!) with my new sewing machine from a special crafty friend. I can't not thank her enough, what a difference it is to my 1970s version! I even made button holes! Button holes people!
