Joey's 9th Red Carpet Birthday

We celebrated my oldest's birthday earlier in August. She came up with the theme for "red carpet." She always has the idea, then let's me run with it (which I adore about her, plus she is so cute). Her Auntie took her for a makeover before hand and she looked the part as she came up the red carpet! Which by the way, is just red plastic table cloth duct taped to the sidewalk.

All photo credits go to the lovely Sasha.
Her website coming soon at Seymour of Life Photography.

pony party

I clearly need to work on my picture taking skills- this party was so adorable and these pictures do not do it justice at all. So disappointing! This brown and pink themed pony party was for my youngest Charlie's 3rd birthday party. The pony clip art was a download from Collective Creation store on Etsy. You can see the invites here.

Party favors were pony hoodies! DIY coming soon.

Nautical Birthday- red, white and blue theme

Charlie just turned 2, and since she is still to little to pick her party theme, this is probably the last time I could do what I wanted to, so here is her Nautical themed party.
Invitation in a bottle, tag close up.
Invitation in a bottle!
Water Bottle Wraps
Party Favors- Anchor containers from Target Dollar Bins!

Handmade Cupcake wraps- realized at the last minute I only had green and white polka dots, so I printed some adorable digital paper and cut them out. From Jazzy Patterns on Etsy.

Strawberry Boats

Watermelon on a stick. Used simple star cookie cutter in assorted sizes
and sucker sticks. Used sugar to fill the vase.
Happy 2 year old!
She insisted on a fork! Never will dig right in.

Diva Party-pink, black and zebra theme

A few shots of a Diva party I helped out with a few months ago. We even made a hot pink "red" carpet on the front porch from 2 yards of fabric, stuck it down with zebra duct tape- it was adorable. This theme was so much fun.
Favor Boxes- filled with inflatable microphones, colored hair extensions, fingernail polish, tatoos and zebra cakes!

Dessert table Diva'd out!

Pink Wine glasses- completely impracticable but hard to pass up!

girlie turquoise and pink party

For my daughter's 6th birthday she wanted hello kitty everything. I love hello kitty but hate commercialized parties. I can't stop myself from wanting to take creative liberties with everything. I used hello kitty stickers and stuck to filling the favors with hello kitty pencils and toys, and stuck to a color theme. I used zebra print and polka dots in the same turquoise and bright pink throughout. It was so colorful and fun. Joey loved it.

circus dessert table

Dessert tables are like the holy grail to me, no matter how much planning I look at them and know I can do better. There is just a something that makes me say "darn it." Overall I am excited to show these pictures. I adore the circus theme, and had so much fun planning it. Next time I will pick a location that is better for pictures, it was too narrow here for me to get a good pictures, and I will make time to iron my linens (rookie mistake!)

beverages circus style

i couldn't resist the big top tent sipper cups (available here). I covered my kitchen island with striped wrapping paper to instantly transform the beverage station to match the circus theme. the stuffed bengal tiger was borrowed from a neighbor!

I custom designed the banners and decided to cut out triangle notches to add a fresh feel to the pennants you see everywhere right now. I love the way they look but needed to change it up a bit.
